Forecast

Forecast in action

Forecast is a Ubiquity command that pulls the extended forecast for a zip code or city from wunderground.com and displays the days, weather status icon, high and low temperatures. The default temperature units displayed are based on the user's geolocation, but by appending "in f" or "in c" Fahrenheit or Celsius units will be displayed.

Everything should be working without too many issues, but if you find anything wonky or want to suggest any additional features, feel free to email me at bradlby [at] dothejustice.com. Enjoy!

A note about updating: To see these command updates you need to restart Firefox. Ubiquity automatically refreshes your downloaded commands when the browser starts, but if you clear your private data when your browser closes you MIGHT lose your downloaded commands.

A note about Ubiquity 0.1.1: Forecast is totally compatible with 0.1.1, but as the release notes mention, when upgrading to version 0.1.1 some subscription functionality was changed, so if you are subscribed to forecast you'll have to manually unsubscribe and then re-subscribe. You can do this by using the help command. In the right hand column beneath the flash intro movie there is a list of subscribed commands. Unsubscribe from forecast, then reload this page. You can then re-subscribe and everything will be working again.
