Border Crossing Dream
Posted on January 16, 2012
I drive up to a parking lot that looked similar to an airport lot, full of electronic signs and free spot indicators. I found a spot and walked to a long line of people. I was with a woman who I don’t know in reality waiting for tickets from a row of machines that would allow us legal passage into certain national parks we wanted to visit.
The line was long and the number if tickets was limited, so some people were trying to trick their way farther up in line. I decided this was unacceptable so when I got up to the machine the woman got our tickets while I held the crowd at bay by acting completely insane and spitting half chewed food in them. I was particularly annoyed with one man and told him I was going to stalk him after we got our tickets.
Having printed the tickets we checked a table full of travel goods. The woman I was with was extremely sullen and pawed through some medicine on the table. She consulted me and then chose a small vial of that seemed to be some kind of illegal drug in pill form. No one was working at the table so we left a Sacajawea dollar coin and walked off.
Dangerous Street Dream
Posted on January 16, 2012
I was waiting at a stop light to make a right turn onto a street that exists in reality in my car. In front of me was a man on a motorcycle dressed in extreme goth clothing with blue neon on his bike. Across the street was a man on a bicycle. When the light turned green both men went at once, and I noticed the bicycle was actually a double decker bike.
When we all turned onto the street it was much steeper than I expected, and covered in patches of ice. Both of the other drivers were ahead of me having problems when another man on a green snowboard came speeding up from behind, careening across the ice. He lost control and wiped all three of them out completely.
Up ahead of the crash I saw all the trees lining the street had fallen on the road knocking all the power lines on to the street. I got out of my car and climbed through the trees to avoid the tangle of live wires on the road. Eventually I had to carefully walk across some yards, tiptoeing through the sparking wires. The residents of one house were spraying water out of hoses through their windows to try and push the wires off their lawn with water pressure, which made it tricky for me to navigate.
Lost in Boston Dream

I traveled to Boston with a couple that I seemed to be friends with (though they do not exist in reality) to see a concert. We rode a bus into the city through some extremely tight winding streets. The driver dropped us off on a random block far from the concert venue.
When we got out of the bus the man and woman I was traveling with started to fight about which way to go. We wandered around until it started to get dark, but made no progress. Eventually the man decided to enter a building that turned out to be a house.
Inside the house we spoke with an Irish couple who gave us accurate directions. They also told us to stay away from the south side of the concert venue. I realized at that point I didn’t have a place to sleep that night. My companions seemed to be angling for a room in this family’s house but I dragged them out because I didn’t want to impose. While we were talking the family’s two small kids ran out the front door but were caught by their mother.
After we left we found a set of stairs we hadn’t seen before and walked down. On a landing in the stairwell we met a group of three women who we seemed to know and were antagonistic. They gave me some strange business cards and told us they were working with “that man” which seemed to be a threat, though I didn’t understand the implication in the dream.
