Frustrating Apartment Dream
Posted on November 28, 2011
I was waiting to get into a friend’s apartment. The building looked similar stylistically to the building this person actually lives in, but it had a slightly different shape. My girlfriend and I were supposed to visit my friend and his wife, but everyone was running late except me. I waited outside for what seemed like a long time. The lobby of the building was locked, so I walked around the corner to a set of elevators on the outside of the building. I went up to what seemed to be the rental office of the building and tried to walk through to the residential lobby. I realized this was a dead end and I was just wandering through people’s offices as they worked. I asked if there was a cut through to the apartments and the receptionist told me that would be silly and not secure.
I sent my friend a text message and he assured me he was on his way. At this point I somehow knew his wife had used a kind of meditation to change her shape to a small piece of food that was floating in a bowl outside of the residential lobby. I thought this was odd and tried to wake her up, but I didn’t know how to communicate with her in that state. My girlfriend called me and sounded upset because of the delay. I walked across the street and up some steep stairs to a restaurant she was waiting at.
The restaurant looked like a wooden Japanese historic building from the outside. Inside it was very dark. My girlfriend was sitting at the bar and was visibly irritated with me. I was surprised to see her not wearing her glasses. She told me she was very tired and had been waiting for me for a long time. I decided to take her home and when we walked outside it was raining steadily.
