I've locked myself out of my car and house different times. It sucks, BUT it is kinda like an immediate adventure.
Most nights I'm on the couch watching infomercials in my underwear eating ruffles then sob myself to sleep... When locked out of my house however, I'm forced to accomplish something. You have a problem you have to overcome. Options you have to think through. Other people you have to work with/depend on. There are true variables.
Its kinda like the way humans were before we had technology. Back then, every minute of every day was a problem to be solved. And your life was all the richer for having overcome those problems.
This experience has even gave you something to blog about.
My point? There's something to be said for the effects of carelessness. (although being out of 185$ kinda sux)
