Vote or Die

I make sure to post something every month so the little sidebar doesn’t skip a month. Is it strange for me to be concerned about that? I’m almost done with Japan at this point, only 15 days till I ship out for some quality reverse culture shock. I recently had two interesting conversations at the same time (1 am on a Tuesday is a good time to catch me apparently) but I couldn’t decide which one to expand on. That’s why I’m leaving this up to you! Yes, you, the one person who reads this. I know you’re out there. Reading this right now. You have to decide. THIS IS IN YOUR HANDS!
Do you want to hear about the Japanese election? The conversation went something like:
Me: but I can’t bring myself to care when the citizens of this country don’t care
12:53:16 AM
Me: and I’m just a guest
12:53:32 AM
Me: thats like being at someone’s house and caring more than them that their toilet is overflowing into the hallway
Ok, so that was all me but I swear it was from a conversation with another person! A girl even!
Or do you want to hear about ANIME? It went a little something like:
Me: anime is not popular in japan
12:53:01 AM
Karl: though they make so much of it
12:53:51 AM
Me: this is true
12:53:54 AM
Me:I don’t know why though
12:54:01 AM
Karl:someone must buy it
12:54:02 AM
Me: like, they can’t NOT make anime at this point
12:54:08 AM
Me: I’m guessing a lot of it is for america though
12:54:11 AM
Me: like big o 2
Simultaneous FANTASTIC conversations. Beat that hot-shot. So yes, reader interaction at its best now commences. What if no one comments on this you ask? Well voice in my head, then I’ll probably just write about some crap movie I saw recently (I have a sort of obligation to see the live action Initial D movie before I leave this country so…that should be pure gold).

You know why nobody ever comments? Because we have no idea what you are talking about! But we love you anyway!

Interesting the way that the “girl” has no lines. Not much of a conversationalist, is she?

Of course my conversation is better. It has more than one person in it, and one of those persons is me!
